In its Review of Hotel Cavendish London, Shirley writes “I like the subway convenience and the neighborhood of this hotel. I like the warm welcoming attitude of the receptionist. His name is Tissa. I also enjoy the hot breakfast, the free internet and the kettle for tea/coffee in my room. I am happy also that I was upgraded to a double room for single use. Though I was asking for a quiet room facing the back of the hotel, I was still given a room facing the street. It was so noicy that I felt like I was sleeping on the street. I was told that the building itself is a preserved type that no alteration even to the window glass can be done. Now the owner has plan to set up another glass window from within the room. This project may take a year. I am glad though I read the reviews before I made the booking. I had my ear-plugs on whenever I was in my room.”
